Save on Wedding Attire: The Gents
How to help the groom and groomsmen save money and time on finding their outfits for the big day.
Make the most of the 21st Century way of business
In the age of 2-day Amazon Shipping, many companies are now offering their services online, and some have even gone so far as to forgo the traditional brick-and-mortar institution. This transition to a new way of doing business has allowed for increased customization and decreased costs for the consumer. What's more, you can save time by avoiding multiple trips to the store!
There are several companies taking the reins on this new mode of business, but my personal favorite is Generation Tux. They offer a variety of perks to make it easy and inexpensive for the wedding couple and their party to get a suit or tuxedo that fits great, arrives early, and won't break the bank!
Top Perks include:
FREE Color Swatches to match your bridesmaids dresses (y'all if you have tried to do this IRL, it can be really hard, so these swatches make it easy and quick!)
FREE Home Try-On for the Wedding Couple
...AND If you (and your wedding party) use code BPTHEBRIDALBB at checkout, you will get...
20% OFF rentals for each member of your wedding party
FREE rental for the Wedding Couple with 5+ paid rentals from the wedding party
The options are truly endless too! Check out the video below to get an idea of the possibilities available at Generation Tux.
Opt for something non-traditional
Instead of going with a traditional suit or tuxedo, do something different! You could do different color or patterned pants and a sports coat. Or maybe your wedding has a rustic theme and you could do dark wash jeans and a button up and a sports coat.
For this tip, thinking about your theme and season will be the best guides for determining what your best, cost -effective solution is.
For example, at my husband and I's wedding, we had the groomsmen order a pair of slate blue pants from Macy's, wear their own white shirt and brown shoes (which most adult age men usually have), and then gave each of them suspenders, a bow tie, and of course some fun socks. I may be a bit biased (okay very biased), but I absolutely LOVED the look and it probably cost each of them $80 as opposed to the usual $200 suit rental (and they got to keep the pants for future use too!). This outfit worked great for us because it kept the gents cooler on what was a warm summer day and it also gave my husband a chance to have his own special moment as the only one in a suit (Husbands, you deserve to feel special too!).
